Description of The Haunted House Quilt:
A quilted and appliquéd Victorian house, quite spooky looking, with
four turrets and a whale-weathervane.
A red-haired woman stands in the open arched doorway. Her red hair is
created of French knots..
The stormy night sky is made of blue and black hand-dyed fabric, with
bare tree branches and bats flying, silhouetted against moon.
There is a dark garden and graveyard in foreground with a fence and
falling-apart gate. A cat is sitting by gate.
This quilt is beautifully detailed, made with hand-dyed and
hand-painted fabrics. It is lavishly stitched and quilted, both by hand
and machine.
This is an original design, one-of-a-kind, and very recognizable. It
was a custom ordered quilt.
Size: This is a double-bed sized, quilt,
75"x95".
The central pictorial panel shown here is approximately 54"x75"
and it is surrounded by a ten-inch outer
border of dark grey fabric Click
