You are fed up with your stereotype, with the perceived negative VALUES
of your local and global VILLAGE and you want to make a positive
difference in the world with your accumulated wealth of girl power,
39-21-33 energy & the wisdom of one of the most successful dolls in
history.
You decide to organize a group-made protest
quilt to express what women like yourself really
think and feel about themselves and the issues that affect them.
The Barbie Project is a workshop I offer with my friend and fellow
artist, Darlene Mace. Participants work together to actually create a
quilt, and at the same time learn:
