Details of Marietta's Mountain Quilt

The skier was cut from a scrap of Ultrasuede®, painted with Seta Fabric Paints, and fastened to the quilt with invisible stitches.

The slalom course is quilted with metallic threads in doubled hand-stitching.

It took some dainty sewing to construct the glacier lilies.

They are sewn of silk scraps.

The flower blossom is about an inch long, which will give you a scale for appreciating the density of the hand-quilting stitches behind it.
